The cast was absolute perfection.
It was a really good movie! The ending was so sad.
This was the first major "news" event I remembered in my life. Shocking to see that 6 could fail in 1978 but 8 could pass in 2008. Fabulous film.
Will see it this weekend.... btw, im glad Sean Penn won for best actor :)Im also glad you're taking the time to go hang out and see some movies... *hugs*
As Leslie Feinberg told me, "Keep fighting . . . in the spirit of Stonewall!!"<3 <3 <3
I haven't seen this movie yet, but I'm looking forward to it! On a side note, I must say that your wording under the picture captures PERFECTLY how a lot of us feel about you Mark!!! :) Yeah, read it and weep! ;)(Sorry! I couldn't help but gush... *blush*)
I watched this movie tonight. It was extremely moving. I am glad some people in this country have evolved since then. I hop the rest catch up. This country was founded by people looking to not be judged. I cried during Milk and i liked it more than Slumdog Millionaire. Penn, Hirsch, and Franco were extremely good in it.
Today I tried to teach the wonder that is Harvey Milk to 10th graders. I think it was a bit over their heads-- but the point is, EVERYONE should have the right to feel comfortable and safe in his or her own skin, and Harvey Milk was one of the people who paved the way for tolerance and change.Mark, I applaud you for being left of center! I definitely am too, but way too many people think that normal is the watchword.
